The Story of Moses and the Burning Bush

Moses was a fugitive, hiding in the desert tending sheep, when he saw a bush on fire. It didn't burn up — instead, it called his name. The One who spoke the universe into being chose to kneel down in the dirt for a worn-out shepherd. Once we see how the God who is higher than we could imagine is also nearer than we'd dare hope, our small, tidy pictures of him will never fit again.
