Discuss Together
- Where do you feel most in your element, or “in the zone,” at your job? What is it about those tasks or aspects of your work that energize you?
- In Colossians 4:17, Paul wants Archippus to carry out the ministry God has given him. How would a person go about discerning the ministry God has given him or her? How clear are you in what God has asked you to carry out?
- Read Romans 12:1-8. How would you define a spiritual gift? As you look at the list Paul gives, many of the things on it are things all Christ-followers should probably be doing (giving, serving, etc.). How do you know when something is a gift, either in your life or someone else’s?
- How much clarity do you have about what your gifts are? What have you learned about discovering them?
- How often and in what ways are you able to use your gifts at work?
- How would you advise someone who feels like they don’t get to use their gifts very often at their job? What questions should they be asking?
- What is one way you can live more into your gifting this week? E.g., is it developing a skill that correlates to your gifts? Getting help in discerning what your gifts are? Starting a new activity (or stopping one)?
