Seven Valentine’s Day Events in Our Community

Valentine’s Day is sometimes referred to as “Singles Awareness Day.” But it doesn’t have to be. Whether you are married, divorced, dating, or single, there are many ways you can still have fun while celebrating this day of love. Depending on your stage of life, we have found Valentine’s Day events in our community that will fit your schedule and status!

For the Family

For the Couple

Need a night out away from work or the children? Here are some Valentine’s Day events that will help you relax and reconnect!

  • Dinner for Two at XO Coffee Company
XO Coffee Company offers more than just specialty coffee. They offer a variety of sweet and savory food made from scratch with fresh ingredients. And this Valentine’s Day, they are hosting their third annual Valentine’s Day Dinner. They are offering a four-course meal, including an appetizer, salad, entrée, and dessert. Some of their delicious options include rose beef risotto, fresh marinated Atlantic salmon, braised oxtail, and a decadent chocolate mousse served with chocolate-dipped strawberries. This quaint coffee shop nestled in the heart of Downtown Plano will feel private and intimate as you and your significant other relax and reconnect over a delicious dinner. The dinner is on Friday, February 14, from 6-7 PM or 7:30-8:30 PM. The cost is $50 per person. They are currently taking reservations, so reserve your table online today!

  • Color Me Mine Paint By Candlelight
Color Me Mine is a paint-your-own-pottery studio where you learn about the art of having fun! The studio in Frisco, TX, holds seasonal events where you can paint your own mugs, plates, and other collectibles. This year, they are hosting Paint By Candlelight on Friday, February 14, from 6-8 PM. You can book a table for two or four if you want friends to join you and your significant other. You can choose from a variety of pottery inspired by Valentine’s Day and reserve a table for up to two hours to paint and enjoy some company and chocolate. Each table will be adorned with candles and flowers to give the studio a romantic ambiance. Reservations start at $20. Reserve a table online today.

For the Fitness Enthusiasts

  • Run 4 Love
Whether you are single, dating, or married, you can always participate in the Run 4 Love (a virtual 5K/10K walk/run). It is a virtual race, meaning you can complete your run/walk anytime from Friday, February 14-Saturday, February 29. You simply run/walk on your own time and at your own location. All you have to do is time your run/walk and send your finishing time to Run 4 Love. Once you finish your race, you will receive a medal set. You can keep both medals or give one to someone you love. Tickets are on sale for $28 (includes a custom medal set and two bibs). 15% of each entry fee will be donated to Heart to Heart International, an organization that provides crisis relief worldwide and access to high-quality healthcare for local communities as well as communities around the world.

  • Love Yourself Singles Valentine’s Yoga
If you are single and looking for a way to relax this Valentine’s Day, Ahhhmazing Life Wellness and Yoga, a yoga studio in Wylie, TX, might have the right event for you! Celebrate this day of love by showing yourself some love. On Friday, February 14, from 7:00-8:30 PM, Ahhhmazing Life Wellness and Yoga will be hosting a 90-minute yoga session that will leave you feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. This event is for singles only and a great fun and fit way to spend Valentine’s Day in community. You will feel loved at the studio as you enjoy some special treats such as chocolates and sparkling juices. The cost for this event is $20. Invite a friend and reserve your spots online today!

For the Animal Lovers

  • Love Your Pet Party
Pet Supplies Plus in Plano, TX, is hosting Love Your Pet Party on Saturday, February 8, from 12-2 PM. Pamper your pet with free treats and fun activities such as Love Your Pet Photo Spot and Kissing Booth! All pets are welcome, but they must be on a leash or in a carrier.

Singles Sunday at The Shacks

  • On Sunday, February 9, from 1-3 PM, singles and their dogs will gather to enjoy award-winning food and great company for Singles Sunday at The Shacks. And there is a one-acre off-leash dog park where your dog will enjoy hanging out with his pup pals. This is a great way to form connections and find community! There will be representatives from local groups such as Dallas Area Singles (North of 635), DFW Single Dog Moms and Dads, and Dog Dads of Dallas. This event is free (even parking). If you make a purchase at one of the restaurants, your fur baby can get in free, too! Some of the profits will benefit Shiloh’s Road to Hope, an organization dedicated to connecting dogs who are at risk of being euthanized in high-kill shelters to rescue groups committed to finding every fur baby their forever home.
