Seven Free Family Easter Events in DFW for 2024

Pastel candy, plastic eggs, and bunnies: they’re popping up everywhere, which means Easter will be here before you know it. Now’s the perfect time to plan out some seasonal, family-friendly fun to enjoy with loved ones. We’ve got a list of some of the best free Easter events happening around DFW in 2024.


1. Where is Easter Bunny Event (Plano)

Date: Saturday, March 2, 10–11 AM

Location: The Shops at Willow Bend

Bring the kids for a FREE interactive scavenger hunt & fun-filled trek from Macy’s to Dillard’s court at Willow Bend Mall. Enjoy family-friendly crafts, experiences on the way to meet the Bunny himself and take photos in Bunnyville at the end of the scavenger hunt. Find more info, here.


2. Easter Egg-Stravaganza (Plano)

Date: Saturday, March 30, 12–3 PM

Location: Shops at Legacy North

Make plans for some FREE fun at Legacy North! Take photos with the Easter Bunny, create a craft (for the first 200 kids), and look for eggs. Local restaurants will be open for business, and the 92.1 Hank FM Party Patrol will also be there giving away tickets for water parks and Six Flags. See details here.


3. Easter in Turtle Creek Park (Dallas)

Date: Sunday, March 31, 1–4 PM

Location: Turtle Creek Park, 3333 Turtle Creek Blvd.

The Turtle Creek Conservancy’s Easter Sunday egg hunt is back after a three-year hiatus! Enjoy looking for eggs, take in live music, play games, and watch the costumed Pooch Parade. New this year: an Easter Egg Recognition Wall. Food trucks will also be on hand. Free to join egg hunt; $25 registration for dog parade. Find more info here.


4. Eggtastic Easter (Little Elm)

Date: March 23, 11 AM–1 PM

Location: Little Elm Park

Search for over 30,000 Easter eggs on the soccer fields of Little Elm Park. Arrive by 10:45 AM to take part in the egg hunt, which starts promptly at 11 AM. Afterward, enjoy bounce houses and a chance to take a photo with the Easter Bunny! See more details, here.


5. Adriatica Village Egg-Stravaganza (McKinney)

Dete: March 23, 10 AM–2 PM

Location: Adriatica Village, McKinney

The whole family is invited to a FREE egg hunt and visit with the Easter Bunny. DJs, balloon artists, and face painters will also be on hand. More details can be found here.

Timed hunts are divided by age group as follows:

Infant to 3 year old, 10:30 AM
4-6 year old,  11:30 AM
7-10 year old, 12:30 AM

 

6. Easter Egg Scramble, EGG-cessible Egg Hunt, and Flashlight Egg Hunt (Sachse)

  • Easter Egg Scramble

Date: Saturday, March 23 at 10 AM

Location: Heritage Park (4408 Hudson Dr.)
Children ages 2-10 come and see the Easter Bunny who will hide candy and special "prize" eggs for three age categories; 2 to 4 years of age; 5 to 7 years of age; and 8 to 10 years of age.  

  • Egg-cessible Egg Hunt

Date: Saturday, March 23 at 2 PM

Location: Michael J. Felix Community Center (3815 Sachse Rd. Bldg E)
This special egg hunt will be open to people of all ages with mental and or physical disabilities. Sensory prizes, beeping eggs, eggs on balloons, and more will be available!

  • Flashlight Egg Hunt

Date: Saturday, March 23 at 8 PM

Location: Heritage Park, Sachse

Children ages 5 to 13 can look for eggs stuffed with candy by flashlight. Bring extra batteries, and keep your eyes open for a special prized “Golden Egg.” The hunt will have two groups: ages 5-7 and 8-13.

 

7. Saturday Easter Fun at Chase Oaks

On Saturday, March 30, Chase Oaks Church offers free fun for the whole family after Easter services at 2 and 4 PM. There are three locations to choose from:

  • Legacy Campus will have eggs stations, candy, popsicles, popcorn, games, and more!

  • Sloan Creek Campus will offer sweet treats and an Easter bunnies hunt, where kids can look for over 100 hidden plush bunnies. One lucky bunny will hold a ticket to a Grand Prize Easter surprise!

  • Woodbridge Campus will get hands-on with an egg toss competition (after the 2 PM service) and an egg drop design competition with assistance from the Sachse Fire Department hook and ladder truck (after the 4 PM service). Free tacos on hand after BOTH services, while supplies last.
