10 Online Resources for Holy Week

This Palm Sunday, we will remember Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, a prophecy fulfilled that revealed Jesus Christ was the Messiah, the King of kings. Palm Sunday kicks off Holy Week, the last week of Lent, during which many of us will reflect on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. To help you and your family journey well into Easter, we have put together a list of 10 online resources for Holy Week.

Online Resources for Holy Week for Everyone

To help us reflect on Holy Week and its meaning for our lives, we have a variety of online resources, including special experiences specifically designed for Easter and daily devotionals we can all add to our daily rhythm after Easter.

Stations of the Cross

The Stations of the Cross Online Experience is a powerful journey that will take you through the hours leading up to the crucifixion and the hours after Jesus’ death. Each station will help you on the journey with Scripture, commentary, and a closing prayer. This is one of the best online resources for Holy Week as it is designed to help us focus on Jesus and reflect on His love and sacrifice—a great way to keep perspective no matter what is going on around us.

Vertical

Vertical is an online devotional created by Chase Oaks Church that is designed to make it as easy as possible for everyone to have a regular interaction with the Bible. There is nothing quite like a daily reminder of God’s love, grace, and presence, especially during Holy Week. Throughout the next week, our Vertical Writing Team will have special devotionals around the Easter story that will help you reflect on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. To start receiving the daily devotionals, all you have to do is sign up online and join us in reading God’s Word.

Facebook Weekday Devotions

Each weekday morning, check out our Facebook Page at 8 AM for a daily dose of encouragement and hope. Our Chase Oaks staff is producing short video devotionals to help you start your day in a positive way. Join us for Holy Week to keep our focus on God who never changes and who came to rescue us, restore us, and redeem us.

Worship Wednesday

Each Wednesday at Noon, different members of our Worship Team lead us in a time of worship on our Chase Oaks Church Facebook Page. This week, let’s stop in the middle of our day and week to worship together and celebrate what God has done for us. It will help refocus our attention on His Word and His promises that never fail.

RightNow Media

RightNow Media is the Netflix for churches. It is filled with resources and Bible studies for your group or family. It can be streamed from anywhere (e.g., smartphones, Apple TV, and Roku). And the best news? It’s completely FREE! All you have to do is set up a login through Chase Oaks. It has a variety of online resources for Holy Week that will help you dive deeper into the Easter story and discover what it really means for our lives. It includes Bible studies by Francis Chan that take you through Good Friday and Easter as well as interactive videos that will take your children through the Easter story.

Online Resources for Holy Week for Children

As we all prepare to celebrate Easter next weekend, we have made some resources for you and your family available on our website.

Resurrection Eggs

Resurrection Eggs is an engaging and fun way to share the Easter story with your children. It is a 12-day journey where your children open an egg every day through Easter (it's ok if it takes less than 12 days to complete). In each egg, they will find an object that represents different parts of the last days of Jesus’ life as well as His resurrection. This is a great way for children to begin to understand the importance of the Easter message. Check out the Resurrection Eggs activity on our blog.

Seder Supper

Seder Supper is a ritual feast the Jewish people started to mark the beginning of Passover, a Jewish holiday that commemorates the liberation of the Israelites from Egyptian slavery. Our Kidzone Team will share a video that will teach families how to set up a traditional Seder Supper and communion at home. This will be a great way to teach about God’s faithfulness in keeping His promises and to talk about the Last Supper—the last meal Jesus shared with His disciples and the first communion. Check out our Children’s Page next week to learn how to do Seder Supper with your family at home.

The Easter Story

One of our children’s ministry directors, Peggy Hooker, will give a Gospel presentation for Easter. She will take your children through the faith fundamentals and teach them about the significance of the Easter story. You can also check out the curriculum for preschool, elementary, and Studio 56. We have short videos that are typically shown at our campuses and printouts and discussion guides you can download for free. Our locations might be closed, but your children don’t have to miss out on learning about God. Stay tuned to our Children’s Page for these great online resources for Holy Week.

Online Resources for Holy Week for the Whole Family

Easter is not just for small children; it’s for the whole family. Whether you have toddlers or teenagers, we want to provide online resources for Holy Week for your entire family.

Easter Jam

Easter Jam is a brand-new family video that walks the entire family (Birth-Grade 12) through an Easter presentation and that provides free games and activities your family can do together. Powered by Orange, the Easter Jam kit will help your family have a fun, memorable, and family-centered celebration around the Easter story. Stay tuned to our Children’s Page and Students Page to download your Easter Jam kit.

Easter and Bible Crafts

This year, you can find unique Easter traditions, Bible crafts for preschoolers, and Easter crafts for the whole family on our blog. All of these Easter activities can be done from the comfort of your home and will keep the Easter traditions alive this year. From confetti egg fights to tomb treats, we have traditions for every age. Stay tuned to our blog this week for more crafts and fun activities the whole family can do together!

Join us online next weekend to celebrate Easter at Chase Oaks. We will have six service times where you and your family can worship and hear a special Easter message from your home. We are excited to celebrate Easter with you this year!
