Navigating Faith, Sexuality, and Gender

Many of us have friends and family we deeply love who are in the LGBTQ+ community. Or we ourselves are in that community and are wondering if Chase Oaks Church is a safe place to grow in our faith. At Chase Oaks, we are passionate about inspiring everyone to follow Jesus and together change our world for good. What does it look like to take our cues from Jesus when it comes to faith, sexuality, and gender? Below are some resources to help us engage this question well.

Loving Well in a Sexually Diverse World

Watch a recent message in which Jeff Jones, Lead Pastor at Chase Oaks Church, describes how the church should be the best and safest place for any of us to find perspective, community, and healing. Yet for many in the LGBTQ+ community, their experiences with church have led them to think Christians have something against them. Check out this honest conversation around what it means to think theologically, compassionately, and authentically about navigating a sexually diverse world.

Connect with Others

At Chase Oaks Church, we are all on a journey of transformation. All of us have steps to take, and none of us have it all together. We need safe spaces to process, grow, and find encouragement along the way. Wherever you are in your faith journey, or whether or not you agree with what Chase Oaks teaches about sexuality, we are so glad you are here and would love to help you connect. Here are a few specific group options for people in the LGBTQ+ community and also families.
