Discuss Together
- What is your favorite memory from Easter? Does it involve a family tradition, church gathering, meal, or something else?
- Read Romans 15:13 together. How would you define the word “hope”?
- Have you ever known someone who overflowed with hope? What did that look like? What made him or her that way?
- Author Brennan Manning wrote, “In every encounter we either give life or drain it. There is no neutral exchange.” Do you agree with him? If so, how have you seen this to be true?
- Read 1 Corinthians 15:14-22 together. What is Christian hope based on? Why is this significant?
- Where do you need a fresh infusion of hope in your life right now? Is there a place you are feeling discouraged?
- If you’re being honest, what do you think you are overflowing to others? If someone was an outside observer and followed you around throughout the week, what might they say you are overflowing in your life?
- Reread Romans 15:13. Pray those words together as a group.
