The Priess "Cave": A Hangout for Just Guys

My wife asked me if I wanted a cave about the first month we were married. Within a few hours of her saying that, I had a cave. The Man Cave really came out of a need and a want to just serve guys, a place for just guys to come and hang out, watch games, and give me an opportunity to cook food for him.

Food for me, with my family growing up, it was just always, I don't know the importance of the word, but we just came around the table. We ate dinner every night, and so I've just sort of continued to use food to fellowship.

From that, really, the grill that you guys saw is an Argentine grill, and I love doing that kind of cooking. But it all centers around just fellowship, getting together, hanging out, just having a good time.

It's just what I do, it's just what we do at our house. So it's really been a ministry. I mean, we've had guys here who've lost their jobs and they come to hang out, you know what I mean? So they're going through difficult times. We've had guys here who who've lost spouses.

I've had a neighbor who went through a really difficult time. He came over here one night with tears in his eyes and told us some really difficult things that were going on in his life, and the group came around and prayed for him.

It's been a lot of things to a lot of guys. But for me, from day one, I would call it a ministry to whoever came here, wherever they were, whatever stage of life they were in. Just a place, It was a safe place to come and just hang out.
