Online Resources for Children During Coronavirus Closures

What a crazy couple of weeks it has been as circumstances continue to change on a daily basis. Although there is a lot of uncertainty in our community and culture right now, Chase Oaks Church wants to work with you to create a new normal for our families. We want to bring messages of hope and fun, engaging ways for your family to interact with the Bible right in the comfort of your living room.

Last week, Chase Oaks moved to online services only due to concerns about the coronavirus (COVID-19). And for the first time ever, we brought our Kidzone and Studio 56 ministries online as well. We had our videos and curriculum available on our Chase Oaks Live website, and we are planning to make more online resources available for children and students.

Here are some online resources for children (Birth-Grade 6) during coronavirus school closures. They will help keep your children engaged and busy!

Weekly Lessons

While we are worshiping in our homes on Sundays, we don’t want your kids to miss out on their weekly Bible lessons. So, we are providing short videos and links to our Kidzone and Studio 56 curriculum online. The format online will be familiar to your children.

Each lesson will contain a video and printable lesson you can download for children in Kidzone (preschool and elementary) and Studio 56 (Grades 5-6). Each week, there will be a biblical message with a scripture and main point that is reinforced multiple times to help your kids absorb, remember, and apply what they are learning. There will also be some discussion questions available for you to talk through with your family after the video.

During this time, our goal is to come alongside you in the spiritual development of your children. We want to help you by providing fun, interactive, and exciting resources that make ministry engaging and meaningful for everyone!

Kidzone Plus

Along with the curriculum, the Kidzone teams also have plans to have additional resources available to you and your family during this season. Our Kidzone and Studio 56 Facebook Groups will have great resources beyond our curriculum available.

Most of you will receive content from local schools to keep your children busy, but we want to supplement that content with Kidzone Plus, which will include family activities, game and craft ideas, family devotionals, and some fun videos to keep you connected to Chase Oaks.

I am excited about the opportunities that are arising out of this season for families to worship, laugh, and learn together. We may not be able to meet in person, but I can see this time being an incredible opportunity for us to share with our children (and our friends and neighbors online) about the joy and peace that comes with having a relationship with Jesus Christ!
